A Typical Whisky Purchase Process
SOURCE
We source Single Malt and Single Grain Scotch whisky casks from selected distilleries across Scotland.
STORAGE
Casks are stored in HMRC-authorised bonded warehouses. We assist clients with storage and insurance arrangements.
MATURATION
As the saying goes “All good things come to those who wait” Patience is the key to owning Whisky casks. Some clients choose to hold casks for several years while the whisky matures before considering resale or bottling options.
RESALE OR BOTTLING
When clients decide to sell or bottle their casks, we can assist with a range of options, including brokerage support and introductions to bottling partners. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may change, so clients should seek independent tax advice.

PRIVATE INVESTORS
Resale opportunities may be available through private buyers, brokers, auctions, or independent bottling companies, although resale is not guaranteed. In some cases, distilleries or independent bottlers may express interest in mature casks.
AUCTIONS
Auction platforms may provide an additional resale option for certain casks.
